Kristen S. Coleman
Kristen Sydow Coleman was born in Fairfax County, Virginia, where her parents lived while her father worked in the United States Navy General Counsel's Office. They moved her back to Texas at 6 months of age, and she has lived in Texas ever since.
Ms. Coleman attended Memorial High School in Houston. She received her Bachelor's degree in Government with a minor in Economics from the University of Texas at Austin. She attended law school at South Texas College of Law in Houston where she was a member of the law review and graduated magna cum laude. During law school she clerked for Judge Caroline Baker in the 151st District Court of Harris County.
After law school she worked for John Nichols, Sr., one of the top family law attorneys in Houston. She then moved to Austin with her family for 5 years where she worked at the Office of the Attorney General, and also in the fields of insurance defense and employment law. She returned to Houston in 2008 to join the firm with her father Michael D. Sydow and her brother M. David Sydow, Jr. Ms. Coleman lives in the Katy area with her husband, two boys, German Shepherd dog, and three cats.
